FOOTBALL AND COMMUNITY COME TOGETHER AT AAMI PARK FOR STAND TOGETHER ROUND
LifeChanger Foundation will bring its Stand Together Mental Health Round to AAMI Park, Melbourne on Sunday March 15th, partnering with Melbourne Victory FC to unite football and community in support of youth mental wellbeing.
The Round builds on a longstanding partnership between LifeChanger and Melbourne Victory, with the club supporting the delivery of LifeChanger’s preventative mental health programs across schools and its Academy pathway since 2022. These programs equip young people with practical tools necessary to build self-awareness, emotional intelligence and resilience.
In the lead-up to the Round, Melbourne Victory players have supported LifeChanger’s mentoring initiatives, reinforcing the importance of open conversations about mental wellbeing, both within sport and beyond it.
“Football has an incredible ability to bring people together, and that connection can be life-changing,” says Scott Watters, CEO and Founder of LifeChanger Foundation. “Our partnership with Melbourne Victory allows us to reach young people in powerful and relatable ways. The Stand Together Round is about reinforcing that mental wellbeing matters, and that no young person should feel alone in their challenges.

The partnership extends beyond match day, with Melbourne Victory supporting the delivery of LifeChanger’s preventative mental health programs in schools and across its Academy pathway.
On match day, LifeChanger ambassadors, will be present at AAMI Park, meeting fans, starting conversations about youth mental health and encouraging supporters to learn more about LifeChanger’s preventative programs.
The Stand Together Round comes at a time when youth mental health remains a significant national concern, with nearly two in five Australians aged 16-24 experiencing a mental disorder in a 12-month period[1]. Despite this, stigma and barriers to access continue to prevent many young people from seeking help.
By combining professional sport with evidence-based preventative education, Melbourne Victory and LifeChanger are standing together to encourage connection, conversation and early support.
